Peter A. Moscovita
In my formative life growing up in England, I was fortunate enough to travel extensively through Europe with my parents. Those wonderful summer holidays planted a seed in me to experience New lands beyond the boundaries of Europe. Before WW2 my father was an officer in the merchant service, his tales of far away places and the excitement of new ports of call instilled in me the same desire to spread my wings in search of adventure.
In 1966, I made that desire a reality, emigrating to the United States as a Design Engineer, Working mainly in aerospace and finally in medical instrumentation.
In 1982, I married Martine also from Europe. Sharing many similar interests including the love of traveling to exotic distant lands, fascinated with their ancient and exotic histories, sailing, long distance cruising, culinary food groups, reading.
In 1986, I joined with two fellow engineers to form a startup medical instrumentation company. After many months of design and development we launch a new line of Vascular Diagnostic Instruments, followed by establishing a national sales and marketing team. In later years Martine join the company as its event coordinator. Traveling around the country gave us the opportunity to explore many states their people and cities. This freedom continued, exploring other places around this amazing World.
In 2010, the decision was made to successfully sell the company for a new life in retirement. The love of travel now had no boundaries, so in October 2011, we packed up our boat and headed south from our home in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, arriving in Sarasota Florida in November of that year.
In 2013, we moved ashore permanently!, sadly seeing our beloved boat leave to a new owner in Japan. Since then, we have continued traveling and enjoying our new lifestyle as residents of Lakewood Ranch in Florida.
In 2018, I started writing my first book, The Following Storm, the five star reviews gave me the confidence to turn that first book into a four book series. The 2nd, Beyond All Doubt, was followed by the 3rd All That Ends Well and the final book The Last Train Home was launch at the beginning of June 2023. I never realized how thrilling it was to allow my mind to govern the stories in my head. The journey of Karl Vita starts before WW-2 through to the early 1950’s.
2024, had many ups and downs, truly a learning curve in the literary world, and making plans for changes.
The prior two website have not really worked but thanks to Jim Galiano and his team of web designers the new site is taking shape very nicely.
