Not that long ago I became friends with Lucy Thomas, her magical golden voice inspired

me to correspond with her beyond texting as a fan.

Lucy enthusiastically asked about my being and author of books, Poems and lyrics this first encounter has started a journey we both have enjoyed. Somewhere along that way, Lucy asked me if I would write a poem about her own life, this I was very pleased to undertake. The poem was based on information she gave me about that wonderful time growing up in her hometown of  Wigan and love she shared with her family. Well, you can imagine my surprise and delight when this talented young lady asked me for background on my own life because she wanted to reciprocate with a poem titled Peter.

How can I express the sheer delight at reading Lucy’s poem and admiring her talent as a poet, no one has ever done this for me before. In my opinion she is better than I could ever be. She has managed to capture and weave my life into a tapestry of facts, it’s really that good.

 I sincerely hope this talented lady thinks more about writing her own music albums and maybe a few more poems
