Where Did All the Time Go

Where Did All The Time Go? A Love Laced Reflection

Where did all the time go, like Galey colored petals in the breeze,

Swept through the years with effortless ease.

Not lost, but stitched in the fabric of days,

Woven with laughter in tender displays.

I chased my ambitions through trial and strain,

Yet found the deepest strength not in gain.

But in the eyes that held mine, warm and true,

The loves of my life, my sun breaking through.

They walked beside me, unspoken yet loud,

Their presence a shelter, their love a shroud.

In children’s smiles, in a partner’s grace,

In old Friend’s comfort or a stranger’s embrace.

Through hardship and toil, when shadows would grow,

It was them-my beloved- who softened the blow.

Their voices, their hands, their quiet belief,

Turned effort to purpose and pain into peace.

So, what did I achieve? If not a legacy grand,

Then a heart full of moments, held by their loving hands.

And as time drifts onward to places unknown,

I know love marked each mile as my own.
