A Tribute to Dolly

A Tribute To Dolly Parton

From Smokey Mountains mist, she rose, A tender heart the wild wind chose,
A girl with dreams and trembling grace, Who carried hope to Nashville’s place.
Her guitar murmured soft desire, her voice lantern made of fire,
She sang of love’s unbroken ache, of hearts too fragile yet too brave to break.

She held the world in gentle hands, a warmth that drifted through the lands,
Her laughter, sweet as summer rain, could soothe a stranger’s deepest pain.
But when she left this earthly light, the day turned slower, dimmer, night;
The world felt something’s fall apart, a quiet tear inside its heart.

Around the world, in every land, so many reached with trembling hand,
To honor Dolly’s golden soul, the love she gave, the love she stole.
For most she was inspiration; for others, the guiding light of success,
And many felt, in grief’s embrace, a romance woven through her grace.

From London’s dusk to Rio’s dawn, her memory lingered and drawn,
From mountain towns to oceans wide, the world stood still the day she died.
Yet sorrow, deep as midnight blue, still carries hints of something true,
That love like hers, though touched by pain, is beautiful enough to remain.

Her spirit hums in every tune, a sun at dusk, a grieving moon;
And though she’s flown beyond our sight,
Her heart still warms the fading night.
