September 11th 25-Year Tribute Poem

Tribute To The Fallen: On, September 9/11/2001

The morning sky was clear,

A blue so gentle it seemed impossible that history could break beneath it.
Yet in a single hour, the world changed, and thousands of lives were taken,
By an act of terror that left a scar on every heart that remembers.
But even in the smoke and ruins, there rose a different kind of fire,
The courage of First Responders running towards danger.
The strength of strangers lifting one another from the dust,
The quiet bravery of those who survived with wounds

That time could not fully heal.

To the ones who never came home, we speak your names in the silence,
To the families who carry absence like a folded flag against their chest.

Your grief is part of our nation’s soul.

To the injured who fought to rebuild their bodies, their spirit, their lives,
Your resilience is a testament to what it means to endure.
And to those of us who remember, we hold the lesson close:
That even in the darkest hour, humanity will rise with conviction.
Twenty-Five years later, the echo of day still calls us to kindness, to unity,

to courage- to honor the fallen by how we choose to live.

May We Never Forget
